LOS ANGELES (July 11, 2022) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Allison Wallin as a shareholder in its Los Angeles office. Previously a partner with Raines Feldman LLP, Wallin is one of several recent key lateral additions to Littler and the third litigator to join in California this year, further expanding the firm’s roster of employment and labor attorneys throughout the U.S. and globally.
Wallin brings over 20 years of experience representing employers in high-stakes cases and jury trials in federal courts nationwide. Her primary focus has been defending employers in wage and hour class actions, having handled, for instance, a federal class action in this area to a jury verdict on behalf of one of the largest employers in the world. Wallin has also handled dozens of California wage and hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act cases in state court.
“Allison has a long and storied track record of successfully defending employers in complex class action suits across the country,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “As the patchwork of wage and hour laws, both at the federal and state level, continue to shift, I have no doubt that Allison will be an invaluable resource for our clients.”
Wallin has represented both public and private companies in a wide range of industries, including hospitality, retail, manufacturing and construction. She also regularly handles matters in arbitration forums, including proceedings before Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS).
“Employers in California face some of the most stringent employment rules in the country – from minimum wage increases to the newly proposed Fast-Food Accountability and Standards Recovery Act and claims under the state’s Private Attorneys General Act – and therefore need a strong line of defense,” said Shannon Boyce, Littler’s Los Angeles office managing shareholder. “Allison’s extensive experience in state and federal courts and her depth of knowledge of relevant employment laws will add considerable value for our clients with operations in California and beyond.”
“Littler has a well-earned reputation for providing cutting-edge and sophisticated counsel to clients in class and collective actions and I’m thrilled to join the ranks of this accomplished group of attorneys,” Wallin said. “The firm’s vast network of resources and innovative approach to managing cases for clients, coupled with their team of top-notch litigators, will allow me to build my practice further and continue to deliver wins for my clients.”
Wallin is licensed in California and Washington, and earned her J.D., cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Washington.
