Labor and Employment Consulting

We assist our clients' management, HR and legal departments with their needs within all areas of labor and employment law. We have an established track record of assisting international companies with their operations in our jurisdiction, ranging from advising on compliance structures – such as work hour policies, plans and agreements, employment contracts, pensions and benefits – and training of management and HR personnel. A major part of our practice is to advise clients on individual matters, such as performance improvement, investigations and termination procedures.

Reorganizations and Mass Layoffs

We regularly assist clients with reorganization processes, including planning and executing layoffs, and managing employee representatives and unions. Successful advice in this area requires deep insight not only into legal and strategic issues, but also into human relations, in order to structure and communicate these processes in a way that responds to the employees' needs and minimizes conflicts and disputes.

Transactions

We advise clients on domestic and international mergers, acquisitions and other transactions. We perform HR- and employment law-related due diligence, and advise on matters arising from that due diligence. We also assist clients on all aspects related to the acquired rights directive.

International Matters

We have established experience in assisting clients on international employment relationships, including immigration advice (both inbound and outbound), structuring of employment contracts (including assessments regarding choice of law and jurisdiction), pensions, benefits and social security. We are frequently engaged as counsel in disputes regarding international matters.

Data Protection

Our team advises employers regularly on data privacy issues in the workplace, and has handled large compliance projects related to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
